Good location, great service, top notch
The Far Eastern Plaza Shangrila Hotel has comfortable, well appointed rooms. The concierge provided us with great recommendations and directions for sight seeing, dining, foot massage and shopping. Spa was great; especially liked the cold plunge pool. The only negative was that I thought the restaurants were overpriced; that being said, the food (especially in the 2 Chinese restaurants) was outstanding.

Superior for Business Travelers
If you are traveling to Taipei on business, this is the top-rated hotel. They deserve every award that they win. However, if you are only here to sightsee, you should stay somewhere less expensive and closer to the tourist attractions.

The service is great, is a very modern hotel with all the facilities that the technlogy can give you. The staff is very servicial.
