Majestic Beach Resort

This is our second year in a row at the Majestic. The first thing that you must know is that this is not a hotel. It is condominiums so the style and furniture vary from each condo. There is no housekeeping, because once again it is a condo, however not having housekeeping come in every day is a welcome privacy for me as we are clean people. The only complaint I have is that luggage carts are kept in the rooms by the guest so there are never any available to move your luggage! I asked the front desk how many luggage carts they had on property and they told me 75. Wow. And I could not even get one...checking in or checking out....pack to carry your luggage. Once you get checked in, the hotel is wonderful. Wonderful rooms, wonderful views, wonderful service. I booked my stay on Expedia and we decided to go a day earlier and they allowed us to stay at the Expedia price for an extra night, which is hard to find at most hotels. We like this property because you really do not have to leave if you don’t want to. It has everything you need for a wonderful beach vacation. Make sure to check out Sharky’s Pier Bar! It’s about a half mile walk up the beach but it fun and festive! Will probably go back next year for a third stay at the Majestic.

Good Condo

It has been a long time since I have been to Panama City so I am not sure what I should expect. I wasn’t crazy about having to park in a parking deck and cross the street. There is a bridge over Front Street and there are activities in an building across the street. I didn’t like crossing through the building because there are place where you were isolated and no one could see you. I would have been scared if my boyfriend had not been with me. Having said that I was perfectly comfortable and preferred crossing the street on the ground level with the cross walk. The condo had a good layout. We had a corner room so our balcony was not private. We would have preferred a private balcony but we felt like our condo was bigger than most and we were also away from the noise of the other guest so we didn’t ask for a room change. Had we have asked I beleive they would have given us a different room. The staff was exceptionally nice. The walls were very scuffed but otherwise it was very clean. We like a more private beach so we enjoyed going to the right of the hotel and laying out where there aren’t any large condos. For the low price that we paid with the help of the expedia discount I received, the Majestic was well worth the price.

We had all the ammenities we needed and my boyfriend and I really optimized the FREE movie rentals!! It appeared the kids really enjoyed the movie rentals as well.
