Clean, but nothing fancy
The hotel itself is clean - not new or fancy, but clean. It was convenient, reasonable & good for our in and out running. Free parking was a HUGE plus!

Don’t settle for less
The first room we were given was a large suite but we requested nonsmoking; there were ash trays in the room and the room reaked of smoke. We questioned the front desk as to if this was a non smoking room and she said yes. We asked for some air freshener and when we returned a few hours later the room smelled even worse. We again questioned if this was a non smoking room and the front desk told us yes and said there were ash trays in every room. We demanded a different room and the next one although not a suite was comfortable, clean and smelled good. There were no ash trays in the room. The parking was nice and the hotel was about 4 blocks from the subway. There was no elevator in the main building so request ground level if you are physically challenged. Catholic Charities is right across the street so there are quite a few homeless citizens in the area but we were able to walk safely to and from the subway. After the room change, we were extremely satisfied with the hotel and would stay there any time we drive to Chicago because of the cleanliness of the room and free parking. When flying into Chicago, there are better choices available near the Magnificent Mile.

I recommend this hotel
I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Room and bathroom were clean and neat. Personnel was also very friendly and helpful.
