Great hotel
The hotel itself was great. The food at the bar was good - try the black & blue burger! Unfortunately at 11:30 p.m. the last night we were there, the fire alarm went off. We were staying in a handicap room (so that our entire family could stay on one floor) and the bell was way too loud. As a mother of a two year old (who was sleeping under said bell) I literally almost had a heart attack. I had been asleep for only about 30 minutes when I woke up to the sound. Luckily my husband was still awake when the alarm went off and was able to calm me and son down. After spending an hour in the parking lot, we were able to go back in. I have never had this happen to me before and Ive stayed in many, many hotels through the years.
Traveler's tip on dining
The restaurant (bar) was very good. We ate snacks there in the afternoon and ate lunch there one day. The Italian place on the second floor has a great breakfast bar - but its a little pricey for what you get.
