Great hotel!
I was in Birmingham on business, and selected the Wynfrey Hotel as opposed to the Hilton. The Wynfrey is a great hotel. It was also ideal because you can literally walk from the hotel lobby into a great mall!! That’s what I loved most. It was convenient to many great restaurants and even more shopping. I would definitely stay at the Wynfrey again if ever in Birmingham.

Elegant but old
We have stayed at the Winfrey at least 4 times. The location is great (right next to a big mall). And when it was built 22 years ago, (along with the mall) it was a true "Grand" hotel. The problem is it has NEVER been remodeled and is showing wear and tear. Too bad. We found out Embassy Suites is building a brand new hotel just down the road . Since we are Hilton people,that is where we will stay from now on. My wife and I were both sad to see such a great hotel slowly decline. It is still nice, but can’t compete with new hotels.

Tradeshow location
Very poor internet service; shipping dock needs serious improvements that have been REPEATEDLY IGNORED to facilitate easier access to freight elevator, SPECIFICALLY A THRESHOLD RAMP to get over the curb. It is VERY difficult to get a heavy piece of equipment over the curb to access the freight elevator.
