GREAT STAY!

I was skeptical staying here because the hotel is quite old and has changed ownership several times. The hotel lobby, breakfast area, and grounds were beautiful. The rooms were very clean and every room has sliding glass doors leading to a balcony or small patio. Will stay here every time I travel to Savannah. You can’t beat the price!

Convenient to most places of interest

Savannah is a nice place to visit and it’s nice to have a place where you can go as a launching point for relaxation like the Savannah Inn before heading out again for some fun.

Free Drinks!

I had a great time at this hotel. It was clean, the staff was great, loved the free hot breakfast and FREE Cocktails from 5 to 7 EVERY NIGHT! It felt like I should have paid more for the stay. Great deal on Expedia. Only down fall would be that its 10min from the historic district. But seeing that I paid half the price well worth it.

The continental breakfast stands out as one of the best we ever had outside a five star hotel. This was smack in the middle of town with everything nearby, especially the airport. Their wireless internet was fast and easy to connect. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Savannah. Thank you!

Save yourself cash with their continental breakfast, their cook is awesome and they even have make your own waffles machine, great stuff!

Will not stay here again

Dead bugs in room and hallway. Hotel has not been remodeled other than the lobby. Asked for a couple of extra towels and they were still damp. Breakfast and location were the only positives about this hotel.

Good for the $$

Room was very inexpensive, especially for a holiday weekend, BUT you get what you pay for. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful--housekeeping, not so much. Towels weren’t changed, we never had a remote control for the TV and asked for one. Hotel was run down and things like the shower curtain rod were broken. It still wasn’t nasty or gross just old and was a good value.

Savannah’s Warmth

We were welcomed with southern hospitality. Enjoyed a cooling dip in the pool after hours of driving. The complimentary cocktails took us by surprise,have never seen that before. It was very helpful to have a refrigerator in the room, and the bed was comfortable. After a delicious complimentary breakfast, we were fueled for the trip ahead of us. Great place!

Mildew and bad service

The air conditioner leak onto the floor and soaked the carpet. the room reeked of mildew. the staff was told and nothing was done about it.

Yuck! Hotel was not good

The hotel was filthy. First room I went to smelled of mold and we had to be moved. Second room was better, but still not good quality. Even though the AC worked, the room was still humid. I didn’t want to walk around barefoot and the bathroom was grimy. The towel-holder was falling off the wall. They also "forgot" to clean our room. We left the room at 10:00am and returned at 9:00pm and they never came into the room to clean. I had to go downstairs to get clean towels and they only had 2 towels to give me. The rooms were air conditioned, the rest of the hotel was not. The hallways were stuffy and stank of mould. They were obviously trying to re-decorate but all the molding was taken off the bottom of the walls and there was dust everywhere. Also, the vending machines did not work, the drinks were warm. I would NOT NOT NOT recommend this hotel to anyone - do not go there!!

Historic Savannah is beautiful, definitely worth a visit, but stay at a hotel in the Historic District, it’s worth the extra money.

Great hotel for Savannah!

The hotel looked like it had just been taken over by Ramada so it looked like various bits and pieces of remodeling hadn’t been finished yet. Having said that, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was satisfactory, and the breakfast was excellent.

very dissatisfied

Nothing was as promised, unfinished hotel full of huge cockroaches, no housekeeping services they came and drop a couple towels nothing else. The washer and dryer were not working. Not coming back.

Not impressed

Had a good time on our vacation to Savannah, but room wasn’t all that, their was a dirty wash cloth hangin in shower when we first arrived. The towel holder came out of the wall. Their was a Coke Bottle in the floor. The Pool was clean, and nice. The free drinks was good to have. But the overall rating to stay in hotel was a about a 3.

It was 8miles from River St, 30minutes from beach that was a plus, but probably won’t be back their to stay.

not impressed at all

check in lounge was nice, carpet in hallway to room was dirty, room was dark and the furniture old and dark. the bed was ok but the sheets looked like thet had not been changed,i would not reccommed it to friends or family and would not stay here again. we were given a drinks voucher upon arrival at 4pm , but when we came back from dinner at 8pm we were told it had to be used before 7,30. so we are encouraged to drink alcohol before driving out for dinner by this stupid rule ????

Toliet ran all the time,light over sink blinked.Staff was helpful and happy hour was nice but they need to check rooms a little better when cleaning to make sure things are ok.One day we got no new towels,they forgot to leave them.

the hotels carpeting was pretty dirty. the shower was stained and the water barely got above being a little warm. there was one cockroach that decided to scurry across the bed. also, the internet kept dying on me. but the people were friendly and helpful when i realized i forgot my razor. and theres a nice little bar/restaurant across the street.

A perfect stay

We enjoyed the hotel stay. The pool & jacuzzi were fabulous. The hot, fresh baked waffle at the breakfast bar was fantastic. We definately plan to stay again. The worst thing was the batteries in the tv remote were not working, but we were too busy to request it fixed.

Good for the Price

Obviously not the most amazing hotel ever, but for the price- it’s a great option. The staff was helpful and friendly, even when I had to go to the front desk after getting back from a gallery showing at 2 am to tell them that the AC was out in our room (they relocated us quickly and without any qualms). The free breakfast is also a nice amenity, as well as the free cocktail hour. The rooms were clean enough for me to be satisfied and the overall experience is better than what I expected. Once again, for the price I think it’s a pretty good deal.

Hard beds

Overall this hotel was very good, but the beds were very hard. They weren’t as comfortable as I had hoped they would be. Also, there were storm warnings while we were there and when we heard the storm sirens going off, I called the front desk and asked if there was a designated storm shelter area in the hotel. I was told that there was not. I figured we would have to use the bathroom for this purpose, but thankfully the storm did not get that bad. The atmosphere was very nice with an inner courtyard which had a pool, gazebo, and nice plants. We enjoyed being able to go directly from our room to this courtyard through a sliding glass door. The breakfast was out- standing and we ate there every morning.

Time for a touch up.

Hotel employees were nice and helpful. The hotel is in need of new carpets, paint etc.

Good hotel

You can certainly enjoy your stay here. The reception took a while which is only one thing to say negative about this hotel. After this wait, I got good service until I left the hotel. Room is good and amenities are good. You will like it too!

Breakfast is free. You kind of need to travel 20 miles to beach but the ride is so good to know Savannah. On the way to beach, we saw a park and spent an hour to take a walk. My kids played a lot in this park too. A budget vacation for families who don’t like to waste money.
