Good value
Will make this my first choice for the price. Have tried several Des Moines hotels some of which I avow never to return.

Try Kansas City BBQ near the State Building - awesome rib sandwich and great value.

The Travelodge Motel is not a good place to stay
I kept smelling urine somewhere in the room and the bed covering is really old and gross. I would not put in on my own bed. Not to mention that I had the air conditioning on in the room and caught a really bad sore throat. I absolutely hated the place! I will never stay at a Travelodge again!

Pay the extra $20 and stay in a better place then this!

Will repeat a stay again
An older motel but was quiet with comfortable beds, an excellent breakfast & check in & out with no problems. The stopper in the bathroom did not work - could be fixed. Also, room cards were not scanned for 2 nights (which we had) & we had to walk to the office to have them scanned for the second night - a disadvantage for us - as was late getting back to motel.
