Watch Out for the Refrigerators
We were put into a room with a refrigerator, actually an electric cooler. We put our few perishables in the cooler when the phone rang and the desk told us we would have to pay $3.00 to use the cooler and we should bring it right down. We told her we didn’t want to use the cooler and removed all our stuff, putting it back in our cooler. We had been on the road for 3 weeks and had complimentary refrigerators (real ones) and microwaves in most of our hotels so this just plain irritated us since we were not informed of this on check-in.

Good Service
Was greeted by very friendly front desk staff. Room smelled strongly of smoke and a bit musty but I did choose a smoking room since I was with a smoker so I guess that is to be expected. A/c worked well and all the staff we met on our 2 night stay were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was an improvement over the old style sweet roll and coffee. All in all the hotel was great for just a place to go sleep.
Traveler's tip on shopping
We went to a fair size indoor Mall in Marion which was just about a 20 minute drive down I-57. Lots of unique stores and it wasnt crowded at all compared to the Mall’s in the Chicago Area.
