Pretty standard fare
My irritation with this hotel was that I had booked two rooms. When we checked in I asked if the rooms were on the same floor and the reservation clerk told me yes. When she handed me the keys to the rooms, I looked inside the key holder card and she had written Rooms 3xx and 2xx - the rooms were not on the same floor. While I understood this was a possibility when I booked the rooms, it was highly irritating that the clerk was too fearful to tell the truth. Other than that, the room was comfortable, fairly quiet even with the windows facing the freeway. The breakfast was standard, decent.

Pleasant surprise
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel...so much so that I changed my reservation for hotels on the second leg of my trip to LaQuinta. Only problems were the address. Apparently, there are two streets in Ripon with the same name and my GPS took me to the other one. It took an extra 40 minutes to get to the hotel! Other complaint: it was 110 degrees outside and no one thought to turn on the A/C in my room ahead of time. It took almost three hours for the room to cool from 95 degrees to a comfortable level. Other than that, everything was lovely!
