Wasn’t that bad!!

I have read the other reviews and can tell you this motel was not that bad. Quick hassle free check in. The view from my room was beautiful regardless of which direction I looked. Sure it is no 5 star hotel but doesn’t claim to be either and the price is fair for it’s location. The location is great, close to everything, walk across the street and your at the beach. I booked 1 night and stayed 3. However I was not satisfied with was the elevator and there was no security. Our last night the party crowd moved in and my 15 year old son went to the car and the drunk;s in the parking lot had him cornered, when I walked out there they scattered, that upset me, something should be done about the drunks in the parking lot who were whooping and hollering until almost dawn. I would not stay here again on a weekend but definitely recommend for a weekday stay. If your wanting to pay more and stay at the best motel in that area book your trip to stay at Day’s Inn and get a Gulf View room.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to buy your souveniers at Alvin’s Island, best deals on everything. Be sure to eat at Crab’s on the beach, excellent shrimp and crab legs.

Overdue for the wreckingball!

I don’t know exactly where to begin! I thought based on the price per night that this hotel would be like any other Comfort Inn at which I have enjoyed staying; I was sorely disappointed. I won’t belabor all of the hotel’s faults as the title of this review should give you an accurate impression of my overall dissatisfaction. I will offer that once I saw my room I thought my vacation was ruined and in my sadness wanted to go home. But, after complaining politely to the front desk clerk, I moved to the fourth floor which had undergone some restoration. Skip the scary elevator and take the stairs. Also there are no security cameras; be warned and safe! As an aside I have never been to a hotel that serves the less appetizing whole boiled eggs instead of scrambled. Stop at the Publix in Gulf Breeze before crossing the bridge before hand for breakfast items and water (or other provisions). I did enjoy the tiny private "beach" that was on the property on the Inter coastal side and the view from the fourth floor was beautiful. In one direction one can see straight down the public fishing dock (the largest on the Gulf) in the other direction were the lovely sunsets over Pensacola. I have resolved to spend $50 to $70 additional a night at one of the more upscale hotels if I ever go back. If you choose this hotel keep your expectations very low and good luck!

not very clean

Windows and tv screen very dirty, found empty beer can and cigarette butt on floor against bed frame. Computer printer in lobby "out of order", in-room movies advertised but not available because of problems with in-room movie vendor.
