Clean and comfortable
When I arrived, I was concerned with the outward appearance since it is an old hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the updated room/ bathroom. While it is a bit small, having it be very clean made all the difference. Pool area was very well maintained and had plenty of comfortable chairs.

Bit of a dive - not up to Holiday Inn standards
While the staff were very friendly, overall this hotel did not offer the cleanliness and level of comfort one generally expects from Holiday Inn. While I do offer some allowance for this being in a small town in West Texas, the rooms smelled of mold, the bathrooms were unpleasant, and everything in the room was generally so old and yellowing as to give you a sort of general malaise everytime you walked in the room! Needless to say, we went back to the room as soon as we wanted to sleep, took a thirty second shower and left as soon as we woke up. If that’s all you want to do for a low price - this hotel will work perfectly.
