Good value
This hotel is a good choice as a base for touring the area attractions. It is basic but clean and has a nice breakfast in a very pleasant breakfast room. Its restaurant was not open when I was there. The staff does not speak english and there is no english language tv so if these issues are important to you this is not a good choice. The rooms are basic and clean but do not contain comfortable furniture. Shower worked nicely. There is parking in front. The location is convenient along one of the towns main throughfares- not in the cramped old town. Overall a good value for the money.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
You definitely need a car here in order to see the ancient sites Villa Casa del Romana and Morgantina. Both are a considerable distance from the city center. The road to the Roman mosaics is not well signed; it is accessed by turning down the street by the Villa Romana hotel, which is in the middle of town. This narrow street eventually leads out of town and then follow the signs. Morgantina is on the other side of town and is several miles away but is pretty well signed.
