Great, quiet location in Taormina
We loved the hotel, which is well located in Taormina, just 200 meters from the south end of the Corso Umberto. The hotel is not glitzy or spectacular, but a very nice place to stay. Breakfast was very good -- no one seems to eat there for other meals. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
At the last minute, we decided to rent a car to do the sunset tour or Mt Etna (which the excursion companies only offer on Wednesday afternoons). This made our trip to Taormina, and gave us easy access to the sister Lido hotel, which has a great beach. We also toured the Alcantara Gorges, which our kids (15 and 20) just loved.
