Hotel Novotel Universitate
I loved it, it is modern and in the heart of the city. I heard about the Novotel chain before but somehow I never got around to checking it out. Well I did in my own town and LOVED IT!!! It is so conveniently placed in the heart of the city across the street from the tall hotel with the huge prices. I love the modern look, that’s my favorite and the way the room looks - all new and cozy somehow. We are definitely using Novotel chains in Europe trips.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
When taking cabs make sure the door states the price (under 2.0 per km). Go to restaurants that are full and when you need to ask a question, for a good answer ask people who look like students, younger and not exactly shady looking.

not impressed
It is rated 4 star and is very expensive if you compare to similar hotels in other cities in Europe - however it is more deserving of 3 stars no plugs in the bathroom, cheaplow power hair dryer, smallish rooms - it is also a "sealed" building - ie - windows don’t open which I find claustrophobic and the lack of fresh air affects my health.
