wonderful experience
We loved the location, close to Petco Park, Gaslamp. We rented bicyles down the street from the hotel and had great fun riding.

Do not go with young children.
This hotel is strictly for business travelers. I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere if you are traveling with a family. The rooms are spacious but there is no refrigerator which is key if you are traveling with children. There is no pool either indoor or out. It has a great location for dining in the gaslamp district but that is as far as it goes. We booked a water view room and were put in a room without a water view, and told there was nothing else available. I then had to call Expedia to try and fix things and the Manager moved us up a few floors. Don’t be fooled! Water views are not available through Expedia. Even after we were "upgraded" our room still faced the Omni Hotel. The front desk also tried to charge us for a nights stay when we checked out. Great hotel if you are on a business trip or have an expense account. Thats about it.

Most Comfortable Bedding!!
I am extremely happy with this hotel. I have stayed in thousands of hotels and the bed and bedding are very important in my being a return customer. This is a 6-star bed! We will be returning!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Many things to do for the whole family within walking distance, plus many dining places. We suggest a stroll through Little Italy and stop for pizza. The Padres play just steps from the front door and Seaport Village is a couple blocks over. And the weather is always perfect!
