We loved the Traders Hotel!

You are treated with extreme respect and kindness here. People respect your time and your need to relax. The bar with the pool and view of the Petronas Towers was impressive and memorable. The buffet dinner was delicious and refreshingly affordable. For the service and quality that I got, this hotel was a bargain.

First Class Service

We echo what many other travellers have said about the Traders Hotel KL, simply it is a first rate hotel. we have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world and the service here tops it all. From check in to check out they were fantastic. We would recommend the Traders Club rooms, not just for the space but the access to the lounge with complimentary cocktails snacks internet and an unbeatable view. Below the hotel is a fantastic little park with running track and on the other side is a large mall and the Petronas Towers. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is mostly good, with a few problems of its own.

The THKL is a good hotel in a good location. The hop-on, hop-off bus passes nearby adding to the convenience. Unlike many hotels there is also free use of the internet at the hotel’s business center - a definite plus. However, it can do better in communication with customers thereby enhancing its professionalism.

Perfect location

The hotel’s location is perfect. The tower-view rooms have terrific view of the Petronas Towers. The room decoration is very business-oriented, simple and neat. The room is very clean. The only problem I had with the room was that we were assigned a connecting room with poor sound insulation. BTW, the buggy service to the shopping mall is very convenient.

Trader’s Really Impresses

The staff was courteous and seemed genuinely concerned about our experience from the moment we arrived. The service was personalized specifically towards us 2 and our needs. The room had incredible views iof the KL Tower, the KLCC Park and the Petronas Towers. The room is very modern, had all of the latest amenities and the bed was comfortable also. The location is convenient to the subway and monorail, and the KLCC Shopping Mall with plenty of restaurants and stores is just a stone’s throw away. The business center internet usage was complimentary which is a nice change from other 5* hotels trying to gauge your wallet for use and the pool had magnificent city views from the 33rd Floor. A great get away for family, business or romance!

The best View in KL of The Petronas Towers

From our Room at The Traders Hotel we had this amazing view of the Petronas Towers, and just downstairs we got the Park. Also the pool at the 33th Floor is something you have to be there to beleive, and at night, it becomes the Sky Bar! Amazing Hotel!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Best Location, you can walk to the Suria KLCC Shopping Center, and The Pavillion Mall. In the floor 33 there’s the Sky Bar! A must in KL. There’s also the Park and the Best is the View, probably the Best View of the Petronas Towers in KL.

Get the Club Option

We loved the Club Option - wine, beer and heavy hors dóevres and a magnificent view of the towers made a nice end to the day. Breakfast buffet on the 5th floor resto was fabulous!

Children’s Play area at the KLCity Center was great. Transport to KLCC from the airport was efficient - train. Hotel gave maps. Aquarium at KLCC was very nice.

Great Customer Service, Pool and Food

Hotel was very nice. Rooms were not plush but not substandard. The view was great and the location fairly good. The pool is pretty impressive and would return just to use the facilities. Club level is definitely worth the few extra dollars. Would definitely book again.

I have heard the Hilton is just as good with all the amenities of Traders but the rooms are better.

I had booked a room in Traders Hotel through expedia.This was my first trip to KL and i did not know much about hotels.I got a room with Tower view.It was really a great view of twin towers and other buildings from the room.Staff support was outstanding.The Location:the hotel is located just across a very beautiful park from Suria KLCC(Twin Tower).Will recommend this hotel any time.

Great location, beautiful hotel and amazing view from bar

Stayed in the hotel for a weekend. The hotel has a good location near the Petronas Towers and I would recommend going to the pool/ bar on the 30-something floor as the view to the towers is fabulous. However, the pool is indoors so no sunbathing possibility. The room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and it is cheap to get to any major tourist attraction by taxi. I would definately recommend this hotel.

The Kuala Lumpur City Center mall (under Petronas towers) is just 5-7 min walk through the park for great shopping and if you have a wish for any globally available coffee shops chains. I recommend the Vincci shoe store on the ground floor of the mall for cheap nice shoes.

Very impressed with Traders

An excellent place to spend your time in KL. Worth every extra cent to upgrade to the Club floor with view over to the Petronas Towers. Afternoon tea, evening drinks and excellent snacks, free internet and printing service etc. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer... and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen anywhere in the world. Treat yourself and stay here.

Very Nice Hotel

We enjoyed the stay at the hotel. We upgraded to include use of the Traders Club. The upgrade was worth it. Afternoon tea and cocktails with snacks were available to us each day/evening at no extra charge. Staff was very professional and helpful when needed.

Lovely hotel

Hotel is in a great position and has plenty of friendly and efficient staff. Booked a garden room which was supposed to have a view over the towers. While you could see the towers from the room, it was only when standing at the window as they were not front on. The room was immaculate and contained everything required. The 2 multi pronged electricity sockets is a nice touch I haven’t seen before.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Taxi drivers of regular taxis will agree to drive you to the airport for R70 which is the same price as the train. Unless you are going during peak traffic times it will be quicker and much more convenient that going by the airport train service.

Clean, nice hotel yet a little out of location

I’ve stayed at Trader’s for two nights, service was attentive and room was clean and spacious. Pool upstairs was nice and had a pool bar but a little steamy to have a drink, it is not outside but inside pool. I ordered Nasi Lemak for room service breakfast, it was delivered on time I requested and was very tasty. It comes with tea or coffee and fruits. My room was cityview and I could see Petronas tower through the window, it was awesome especially at night. It is located on the hill, right next to the park so if you wish to use mass transit rather than taxi, it may not be your first choice. However if you consider taxi fare is reasonable(or cheap, based on your budget), this hotel can be a good choice.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you get a cityview room, you can see Petronas tower through your window. I didn’t have breakfast buffet during my stay but the other said it was great. Pool is not outside but inside and there are some sitting area around the pool. Park is right next to the hotel and Citibank is about 10 minutes walk. Hop-on and Hop-off bus stop is about 5 minutes walk. They have concierge but carry only one travel agent brochures which take cash only.

The restaurants were disappointing lacking atmosphere but the food was excellent. However plenty of first class restaurants within walking distance.

Will definitely stay here again

Every time I go to KL I stay at the same place. I decided to try somewhere else and based on the reviews I read I decided to try the Traders HOtel. I feel my experience matched the excellent reviews I read about. It is in an excellent location and in walking distance to shopping, restaurants and parks. I went with the Traders club package but could not get the park view. I was here on business and not in my room long enough for that to matter. The views are great from the Club floor so that was sufficient for me. The staff is courteous and professional and the breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent! ( I ate too much!). The pool and fitness facilities are nice. My only complaint was the bed was extremely hard - like sleeping on a board. Other than that, a very pleasant experience.

100% Satisfaction

Perfect hotel and excellent service ( don’t miss the breakfast). Also Traders is the nearest hotel to KLCC (Twin Tower). Please note when you book in this hotel choose the room with the PARK VIEW.
