Decent at best, shabby at worst
While the location was the key reason for choosing this hotel, the Expedia offered free upgrade to a suite clinched the deal. The included breakfast was nice and taken on the "executive floor" in a nice, 2 floor dinning room, but the food standard fare for a Chinese brand hotel. The room was not so much a suite, but a standard hotel room with a wall between the bedroom and sitting area. Furnishings were adequate, but not luxurious nor very nice.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
This hotel is very close to the Hong Kong Border Crossing and a few minutes walk from the metro and a few local shopping areas. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it. If you’re planning to do some shopping in Shenzhen and make your way to Hong Kong by foot, this is a good option.

Convenient location
It’s a very convenient location but the condition of the hotel is just fair as far as a four star hotel is concern. Very close to the mall and train station coming from Hong Kong tho.

not a good deal anymore
I have stayed here several times, but will not come back. The location of the hotel is great but for the price you can stay at a nicer place- New Times Hotel or others. This hotel is really showing its age. The only floor that is nice is the 12th- Executive floor. If you can get a good price on this than maybe it is worth it, IF you are a sound sleeper. We were above the 18th floor and were still kept awake by the disco on the 5th floor! Our heater also did not work and we needed a space heater brought in. The carpets are also dirty. The people that work here are very nice- very nice and helpful. This is the only redeeming thing as far as I am concerned.
