NICE BUT NOISY

Overall the hotel was nice and had a good breakfast daily. Rooms are small and there is no air conditioning, windows are left open so it is very noisy. The hotel is on the roadway that buses travel to service Paddington Station.

Smelly, stuffy, claustrophobic....horrible.

We had booked this Hotel before going, but after arriving and seeing the room, we left and checked in elsewhere. The room was small and although smelled like bleach, felt dirty. Giant "quick kill" bug traps on the floor of the room made us wonder about the kitchen (breakfast was included in the price of the room)and its cleanliness. No toiletries in bathroom and no escalator. No one even helped us carry our bags up 8 flights. We did not spend one night in this hotel.

Clean and comfortable

The Pacific Hotel is conveniently located in the Paddington area. The underground and bus stops are literally right around the corner from the hotel. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. Each morning the dining room served a full "English breakfast" which was more than substantial. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Oxford Street,Marble Arch,Hyde Park, and Picadilly Circus are all within proximetry of Paddington where the Pacific Hotel is located.

Pacific was nice but noisy

Hotel sits on the corner of two streets. Buses going to Paddington station stop at corner and make the turn. No air conditioning, so on warm evenings we had window open. Squeaking brakes and the sounds of the diesel engines made sleeping a problem when windows were open. Not as bad with windows closed. We liked everything about the hotel except, no lifts (and no help getting luggage to third floor room) in the section we were in, and as noted above, the noise. Great breakfast and congenial staff. I would choose somewhere else in the area with less traffic.
