2nd time was a good as the first
My wife and I had stayed here 10 years ago and enjoyed it very much so we decided to go back. We were not disappointed and it was almost as good as the first time. I say almost simply becasue the hotel is at least 10 years older than when we last stayed and you could see very minor dings and dents in a few places but nothing to detrack from our enjoyment. Staff were attentive and friendly and the beach was the best!!!!

If I am slurging on a resort hotel, I would go here again. It was an awesome experience
We really enjoyed out stay. The hotel was nice, quiet and had incredibly beautiful beaches. Everything was convenient and once we figured out the bus system it was easy to get to downtown or to boatswain beach. We would stay here again if we had some extra money for vacation. We usually don’t splurge, but it was for our honeymoon :)

A Great Getaway
While registering online, we noted that we were celebrating a b’day and anniversary.So upon arrival, we were upgraded to an oceanfront room and showered with complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! Our stay was during low season so we and a limited number of other guests had the entire hotel to ourselves. The staff was great and grounds were beautiful. Compared to the Marriott prices and overall reviews, we felt we definitely got the biggest bang for our bucks. We had a slight humming in our room from the building air conditioning unit, and the MOD immediately agreed to move us to another room. Pleasing us was Westin’s #1 priority. Concierge offered helpful information as well. An excellent hotel.
Traveler's tip on dining
If you like Italian, Casanova, an upscale spot on the water in GTown serves the absolute best, and the Lobster Pot offered tasty cuisine as well. Less expensive but good local cuisine is served across from the hotel at Eats and at Champion II (not Champion I, which we were told is different).
