Rough but adequate
Looks like the Bates Motel, but is adequate if you dont mind a few bugs in the room. Rough around all the edges but the price is right. No access to ice in the morning, and attached cafe is closed. Despite the name, this is an old place that looks well used, but everything did work.

Close to the Bryce Canyon
The advantages of this motel are its location close to the Bryce Canyon and the large rooms. Other then that, the motel is very basic (no phone in the room). If you are planning to visit the Bryce Canyon, and there is no available lodging in the park or near the entrance, then you dont have much chice left...

Hope it doesnt rain
The only good things I can say about this hotel is the person who checked me in was very helpful in describing local points of interest(Bryce Canyon) and restaurants. The hotel(motel) is very old, the carpet was stained beyond recognition and when we came back from a day of sightseeing, it had rained and there was a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor. We had chosen this hotel because it was pet friendly but even with its location (14 miles to Bryce Canyon NP) it was not worth the price. I realize there will be premium prices the closer you get to the park but this one is not close enough to justify their price. I would definitely suggest something a litte newer.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you have a short stay in Bryce Canyon, drive all the way to the end of the park and then start back. All of the overlooks are on the right sde of the road and this makes it easier to pull over. Sunset is a great time for pictures - get there when the light turns golden.
