My review of America’s Best Inn
I stayed at this very affordable motel in lieu of staying at an expensive resort hotel for a conference. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants to eat at for dinner, and provided discount coupons. They were also very accommodating in loaning an extension cord to me for the night. The room was modest - no lavish furnishings. It was safe, clean, comfortable, and quiet, which were my preferences. I would definitely stay there again.

Only stayed two nights at the motel; it was OK
The motel is in Tahoe City across the street from the lake and within walking distance of parks, boutiques and restaurants. It’s clean and inexpensive but great for a few nights.
Traveler's tip on dining
Rosie’s Café in Tahoe City has great food. The motel’s manager referred to it as "comfort food". Try the Swedish pancakes, which are served with apple sauce, sour cream and lingonberries. My husband thought it sounded too weird at first but also loved them once he gave them a try.

A great value in Tahoe City
The hotel was modest but clean, well maintained and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a nice room that overlooked the golf course.
