Definitely not 4 1/2 stars!
We recently stayed at the Lodge for our Honeymoon. Overall it was a nice hotel, but had a few issues, i.e. the room temperature is controlled by the hotel and cannot go lower than 65 degrees. our room was so warm that we had to leave the windows open at all times and the hotel is on a busy road and we felt as if we were sleeping on top of the freeway. The photos on the internet did not show the hotel next to a busy two lane highway. Our toilet ran and we had missing light bulbs, but both were fixed upon request. The room was very clean but it was hard to get over the noise factor. The restaurant was very expensive but the food was very good. I thought it was nice but definitely not 4 1/2 stars nice.

Excellent Hotel
excellent hotel, large rooms, comfortably amenities, good food, nice atmosphere, pool was a bit cold and the rocky beach isn’t the best, but both still enjoyable for the kids.

Whitefish’s Best Lodge
The room was huge and looked fantastic with a fireplace, deck, extremely comfortable beds, a small kitchenette and a huge bath with double sinks and seperate shower and bathtub. The only complaint was that there was a party in the hotel that was really loud at night while trying sleep. Needed to use ear plugs to sleep.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
It is a long distance from Glacier National Park and would not recommend staying here if you want to spend multiple days in the park.
