Good value
Nice hotel. Great staff. The shower in the bathroom was very small. Clean rooms. Its a litle out of the way but very quiet.

Im planning on staying again on my next visit.
Very clean bathroom, extremely helpful staff. I LOVED!! the location. Try the pastries at breakfast - SO GOOD! And the coffee! Theres a little store at the bottom of the hill - sort-of a little mom/pop store-its next to a pizza shop. Great for last minute gifts and drinks/snacks. Im a single female and I had no problem coming home (late)at night walking back from the Metro stop. Im definitely staying there again on my next trip.

Pleasant stay at the Hotel Doremus
We stayed at the hotel in September, 09 and found it perfect for our needs. My wife, daughter (30Yrs) and I stayed in a triple, overlooking the church courtyard. One night we got wine, cheese and pizza and enjoyed our dinner on the balcony. The bus to central city was a block away, the colosuem, etc., were in walking distance, staff were very pleasant and spoke English well. No elevator was OK for us. Breakfast was not gourmet, but more than adequate and we ate there for the week we stayed there. Book it you wont be sorry.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
While staying at the Domus Aventina, we walked to the Viale Aventino and ate reasonably at a nice pizzaria, around the corner, a grocery str. next to it for wine and cheese, down the block are plenty of restaurants. From the hotel we walked to dinner in Trastevere, the Ghetto, Testaccio. Get good shoes and burn off those extra calories. Public transportation was great, but the bus maps arent (Get a Roma Pass) and save the cab for the trip to Borghese Museum (get tickets online ahead of time).
