Will stay here the next time I’m in Memphis
Everything was pretty much as advertised. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, location was acceptable because of nearness to trolley.

Great place to stay once you get use to the odor
This hotel had a friendly staff. Terrible breakfast. When we first got to our room it had a musty smell. The hall floor we stayed on was dirty and needed mopping. We stayed three days and the same dirt spots were in the same place, so therefore they didn’t clean the floors for three days. It’s a OK place to stay if you can’t find anything downtown Memphis. Convenient location.

COLLEGE DORM!!!!!!!!!
This hotel is horrible if you are looking for comfort and elegance in a hotel room. I don’t recommend this place to vacation goers. Gen X seemed like a good place per the photos and reviews given. However, the parking lot is small, and there were no cars parked there the whole weekend.(Memphis in May)Nor did I see any other guests there beside the group of college party pros in the room next to me. The inside reminded me so much of a college dorm. One working elevator and the halls smelled like a gas station bathroom. My room contained wall pictures purchased from Wal-Mart!!! And so was the 27" flat screen. The furniture was of dormitory grade also. I was embarrassed to invite anyone back to my hotel. When I asked for compensation, I was given another room exactly like the first one except, this room was covered with construction plastic. HORRIBLE Cusotmer service!!! Minutes from downtown though. Police activity is very high in the neighborhood.

If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, Gen X. Otherwise its a crappy hotel compared to your local crappy hotel.
