It was ok
Most people wrote front desk was nice and friendly. Most receptionists were nice, except 1 lady,,I had a hard time with her. I know she was busy at that moment, but she should have lietened and tried to be more professinal to every customer equally. It is very convinient location, especially good to be away from busy central tourism area. Room was clean and simple, breakfast was ok.

Good hotel at a good price
We knew about this hotel through Expedia. It has a good fare and it is in good condition, in general. It is also conveniently located. The staff is helpful and kind. The fare included the breakfast, which was a very good buffet. The only problem was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
Traveler's tip
The hotel is very close to the Gobelins metro station. Although also the Corvisart station is near to the hotel, the walk (about four blocks), is nicer from Gobelins.

a good hotel
The hotel was fine for my being a student. I stayed in a single room. It was clean. From the Corvisart metro stop its easy to get to, just go up Rue Corvisart which is right at the exit of the metro, a little far walking if you have big heavy suitcases like other people have said. And its really on the Rue Magendie not the Rue Corvisart like stated. Its on the corner of both but the entrance is on Rue Magendie so I walked past it the first night because the big sign you see says "Touring Hotel" and then there is only a little sign next to the door that says Belambra VVF Hotel Magendie but it is the only hotel near #6 Rue Corvisart. I didnt have breakfast there I chose to eat at a Pastry shop, so I cant speak for that. The bathroom was a little small and all you get is soap and shampoo/shower gel good for one use so bring your own toiletries. But overall I was happy with the hotel and the price for it being in Paris and not wanting to spend over $100 per night.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
I would definitely recommend the "Paris Visite" card which you can get for 1,2,3 or 5 days and you can use the metro an unlimited number of times. I got the 3 day one and it was definitely worth it. It cost 19euros. You also get discounts on certain attractions with the Paris Visite. I would recommend going up in the Tour Montparnasse (you can get a discount with Paris Visite) because it has an excellent view of Paris.
