Convenient to SUNY Albany

Was a good, clean hotel close to SUNY Albany. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Decent continental breakfest. Good sized room.

Good location, but overall not great

This hotel is centrally located, which is it’s biggest plus. Upon a late arrival, we were greeted by a fairly surly check in person. Our room was freezing cold (with no in room controls), the walls paper thin and the toilet filthy. Arriving late, with two small children, I let it go and we went to sleep. Breakfast was adequate for our needs, but nothing special. Shower was the best thing in the room...great pressure and the water was instantly warm. Arrived back at the end of the day to find the room made up, the toilet cleaned, but the trash from the wastebasket still sitting in it’s bag on the bathroom counter. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Would stay again for the location and price, but might consider a room 10-20 higher for some of the additional things (more extended breakfast, warmer room).

Simply unbeatable for the price

This hotel was a really nice surprise during our trip throughout New England (which started and ended in NYC). It was one of the best places we stayed at but also one of the cheapest.

Good value

The facilities are obviously not new, but they are kept in very condition. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast offered everything you could need and it was very well attended by the staff, that was constantly replenishing the food.

It served it’s purpose

It was a just a night’s stay on our was to Maine. I felt a bit uncomfortable upon entering the hotel, but the room was really okay.

Not impressed

Needs more towels and wash cloths. Put a seat in shower or need a foot rest. Alarm clock faulty.

For the price in all the room was pleasant enough. Bring your own alarm clock.

Very comfortable and affordable

We went for a long weekend on a budget, and were very satisfied. The room was perfectly acceptable given the price. The area was very safe, accessible to many major highways, and convenient to several restaurants and stores. Admittedly not luxurious, and no view from the room (we looked out on an alley and the building next door), but we didn’t go on vacation to stay indoors, so it really didn’t matter.

Not impressed

This place is basically a dump! My room was adjacent to a restaurant exhaust fan....so I could not keep the window open. There was no top sheet on the bed. However, the bathroom was clean and spacious.

Better moderate priced hotels are located on Wolf Road and near the airport in Latham, N.Y.

Bigger room than I expected

I was traveling with my mother and just needed a place to stay for 1 night wasn’t going to cost an arm and a leg. The room was a great value all around and even included breakfast (toast, cereal, muffins, etc)

Excellent choice

Our stay was totally satisfactory. Breakfast selections were good but not great.

Nice hotel

The room was nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ok room for the price

I live in Albany and never looked at hotels until I needed to find a place for out of town guests. This was a cheapest decent one I could find. The woman who checked us in was rather rude and did not appear at all interested in helping us. The room was ok, I’ve stayed at better for a cheaper price, but nothing to complain about. Bottom line: I would recommend this hotel if you want to save some money and are willing to deal with crabby service.

Very basic hotel. Good for a night or two. Near highways and downtown.

Great hotel if you are there for NY Giants training camp. It is right across the street. You can walk there.

’COLD RECEPTION

Hotel was comfortable and clean with a very good price and I searched the net for a long time to get an affordable yet quality combination. Only small peeve, the ther.is set at 65 or 66 each day my the cleaning crew.No big deal, just reset to 72.In perfect world the bathroom sink would be longer to support bath items for a couple. I give it B+ to A- .

Spa & M all

I was with my grandaughter for a visit to Saratoga for some racing and to the Albany Mall for some school shopping. It is way over my budget to actually stay in Saratoga anymore. We enjoyed our fun. We liked being close to the modern SUNY campus. We had a walk-to donut shop and enjoyed the continental breakfast. The rate was rational. What more can you ask? Thanks. tm

Clean, Comfortable and Adequate

This is a basic no-frills motel located on a major thoroughfare. It’s reasonably close to just about everything in town; highways, restaurants, shopping etc. They have a small fitness center and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. The walls are a little thin, as I could hear the TV in the next room, but other than that everything else was fine.

exactly what I needed

I needed two inexpensive 2 double bed room for my sports team to stay. I got a good price and still got two spacious rooms. The rooms were clean, the beds were satisfactory, and the bathrooms were better than I’ve come to expect from bargain hotels. Definitely a good option for larger groups, or anyone who wants to save money without giving up all comforts.

We will stay this hotel again.

Clean and kind staff. Although room amenity is minimum, it is enough for us. Dependent on their room, it is far from parking lot.

I would stay there again

Reasonably priced, so don’t expect 5 star; clean comfortable room; generous breakfast; easy to get to and from airport; helpful staff. If we have occasion to go to Albany again, we would stay there.

Much, much history in this beautiful area. Our destination was the gorgeous Silver Bay resort (YMCA) on Lake George, so Albany was an overnight stay coming and going, but we took time to tour the downtown capitol area. The Adirondacks are a great vacation place.

I will return

Excellent comfort and service for the money. I definitely will return the next time I’m in the area.

Great location to the Campus

We booked the hotel a long time in advance for Graduation weekend. The room was fine- as we wouldn’t be there much anyway. The continental breakfast was very convenient since we were in a hurry for early morning Graduation. It was kept clean and replenished. We were there early enough- but people who came later had to go back to their rooms with the food, as there was not enough seats. Front desk people were very friendly. Good location and price for this hectic weekend. We had booked two rooms, one queen and one with double beds. The double bed room was also much larger with a larger bathroom. The price was a bit higher, but not that much. The bathroom was also larger with more counter space. If you are going for a campus event to UAlbany it is fine. It isn’t necessary to spent a lot more for not staying in the room.

Better than expected

Quick reservation made a few hours before arriving; surprised how quiet and clean the room was!

For a short-term stay....

It was a nice hotel for the price. However, I was travelling with children and the was no bathtub, refigerator or microwave. Those are definately necessities for me!!!!

Clean place, nice people, great value!!

This hotel is kept very clean. The people who run it are very friendly and very accomodating. Have stayed in hotels next door and this is the cleaniest!! I don’t need to many frills from a hotel but I do need it to be clean. This hotel suits my husband and I just fine.

Simple, but okay

This is a very basic hotel, but it was just fine for us when we needed a quick stopover place on a longer road trip.
