It will be much better if they wash pillows to remove last guest odors also have more tv chanels in english

go in late september try to booked a hotel where you get pick up at the airport and take back ,taxi drivers will charge you whatever they feel like it.

Nice Hotel In Great Location

Clean hotel, friendly & helpful service and good directions to sights, close to Plaka and Syntagma Square.

Great location, nice breakfast

Would stay here again. Staff was a little cold and not much help with anything outside the hotel. Our bathroom was way too small for anyone - imagine a porta-pottie with a shower in the corner. no matter what you did in the bathroom you had to have one foot in the shower stall. Bed was too hard.

Clean and well-situated euro hotel

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to Plaka, check out Amazon Hotel. I call it a "euro" hotel because the rooms are big enough to fit everything but not large. But the rooms are functional and very clean, and the breakfast room and fare were quite nice. We stayed for three days in July 2009. You can walk to many attractions from the hotel. I’d stay again.

Easy walk from the metro or to shopping, ruins and Plaka area. Tiny bathroom.

Modern and convenient

Very convenient location in Plaka district, 2 minute walk from Syntagma Square bus stop. Nice and modern rooms, internet in room (fee), breakfast. Only complaint that bathroom was very small, basically just a shower cell. Relatively pricey for a small room, but I don’t have a comparison. I probably would try to find something less expensive, if I spent several nights in Athens. Main attraction is the convenient location.

good location, but not impressed

Its location is ideal if you want to explore the city on foot, close to almost all the must-goes. Also the shuttle X95 running between Syntagma Sq and the airport is only two blocks away. So just confirm the bus schedule with the driver beforehand, you can easily save the taxi fee (it takes about 50 minutes to the airport by the shuttle). However, besides the location, nothing else really impressed me about the hotel. People at the front desk appeared a bit reluctant to spend time helping you. They would answer your questions of course, but always in a hurry and in a way that made you feel that you were bothering them and they were helping you just out of courtesy. If you need helps with directions, it might be a lot easier if you just grab a passersby instead. Greek are generally very friendly to foreigners. My room was supposed to come with the high-speed internet, but apparently the connection was not working. Also towels in the bathroom didn’t look very clean...

Very reasonable option

Amazon hotel is very conveniently located w/i walking distance to the major tourist attractions in Athens. Breakfast was adequate, and rooms were clean and comfortable not to be confused w large. Very typical of a good hotel in a large European city

Good location..about it

When we booked this, there we saw much, much better pictures. When we got there, we weren’t impressed. Now the pictures look correct. Moth holes in sheets and towels. Hasn’t been updated in awhile. Good location though. Probably a good thing it was only for one night and at the end of our trip... too tired to care any more. :)

Good for taking the light rail system. Can get to the cruise ship port and airport easily. Taxi to the port cost over $100. The metro would have been $20 for two...oops

Best location

This hotel is a small hotel which is two blocks away from Syntagma metro station, it is on a quiet street near Plaka. Quiet and easy access to the tourist areas are very difficult to find the combination in Athens. The area is quiet safe. The room is clean. The staffs are professionally trained. The only complain is that the shower area is really small. I am 5’2" and quiet slim. But I still hit the shower door all the time. The design of the shower are is not thoughtful. There is no bath gel holder in the shower area.

Great Location

The Amazon Hotel is ideally located a couple of blocks from Syntagma square. It’s a small hotel, with newly remodeled rooms. The room we had was of adequate size, but the bathroom was unbelievably small. As far as I could tell the corner shower, toilet and lavatory were fitted into a 4’x4-1/2’ space. Still, I’d probably stay there again, because it’s within walking distance of everything.

This hotel is in a great area. The metro is 3 minute walk and everything is close by. The hotel itself is small but clean. I would definitely stay here again. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

Very unassuming and discreet

i enjoyed staying at the Amazon Hotel because the staff was not lerching over you yet they were available when needed. The breakfast was lovely and relaxing. This was a verey welcome change from the usual service which bustles about too much in the morning. The atmosphere was subdued and comfortable, classy and gave the feel of privacy even in the main dining.

a nice place to stay in Athens

After a 12 hour trip from home, this hotel was a welcome place to stay. Despite the noise, dirt and grit of central Athens, this hotel really was an oasis amid everything. Service was great, the room quiet and clean, and breakfast was very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good Hotel in Plaka, Affordable and Safe

Good walking distance to the Plaka and Syntagma Square metro station. Good breakfast:eggs, toast, fruit, meats, cereal. Will stay here again because it is affordable for the location.
