Great place to stay and within 20 minutes drive to almost everything
My wife and I spent our 4th year anniversary in Montreal (were from the Boston area) and decided to stay here. We read reviews from Expedia and people seemed to like it. We also liked the idea of having a breakfast buffet in the morning, the free internet service, and a full kitchen! Whats also good was we were within 15-20 minutes drive to everything we wanted to see. The highway is right behind the hotel! I also loved the fitness center. My wife was napping on Saturday, so I decided to go downstairs and work out. They have four treadmills, a couple of eliptical machines, one stationary (recumbent) bike, a couple of nautilus machines and an assortment of dumbbells (I think they went up to 50 lb?). I was pretty much able to do my entire lifting routine there that I normally do at my gym at home. Very satisfied. The pool was nice too because it actually goes to about 5 ft deep (some kiddie pools dont go beyond 4 ft, so you cant really even tread water) Although it was nice having a breakfast buffet, there was something odd about the way the eggs tasted (scrambled and hard-boiled). Im not sure if its a Montreal egg thing, but they were a bit tasteless. Dont get me wrong. They didnt taste bad, they just had no taste. Weird. But I loved the french toast and waffles! Yummy! You will definitely get your moneys worth at this place
Dont exchange money with the hotel. If I remember right, they exchange 1:1 and while we were there, the ratio was actually $1 US dollar to $1.09 Canadian dollars. So, they are taking $0.10 per US dollar. If you exchange $100 US dollars, they are taking $10 from you. Kind of sucks, so take your money to a bank and get it exchanged there instead (forgive me if I got my math wrong but you know what I mean)

Nice Hotel Some Service Issues
Location and facilities are fine. hotel is new and it shows. No character but clean and comfortable and a nice room for the money. We had problems though. Each day our room keys were cut off and the maid would call asking when we were checking out. This kept happening and the folks at the front desk had an "oh, well" attitude. No apology for the fact we had to keep running downstairs (usually when we returned with food that was getting cold). Smallish inconvenience but the fact they seemed not to care, magnified it. Pool shared with other Marriott so always busy. On balance a mixed experience. Not sure I would go back.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There is a great deal of construction going on for the next few months. Would suggest taking cote de liesse as a means of getting to and from if the decarie and Met are going to be backed up.

Impressive cleanness and service
Magnificent choice. Great staff. Magnificent rooms that smell very clean. Great free breakfast buffett. Convenient pool and gym. Free internet and parking. 15 minute drive to the airport on the hotel shuttle. A fabulous visit.
Super convenient if you have kids. It has a small play area for younger ones, the pool, and a fully equipped kitchen in impecable condition. It even has a coin laundry room...
