Superb service and superb room
We stayed at the Shila hotel for two nights and everything was wonderful from the service to the roomy room. At the check-in, we added another bed for my son to sleep more comfortably and FYI, I had three kids with me and the king size bed was very comfortable for me and the other two kids and one portable bed was just fine for my older son. One draw back is the distacnce from the hotel entrance to the main street. However, since this hotel is considered as a seclusive and top hotel, that could be acceptable. The employees at the lobby are very friendly and they treat you like a loyalty and thank you for that. My sons were very impressed with their service and want to go back there again when we visit Korea. Over all, it is a fine hotel!!
Traveler's tip on dining
Shila hotel is by one of the universities and if you go out of Shila’s palace gate - almost a half a mile walk, but you can talk a shuttle to get to the gate- you will be able to find many good restaurants which are not pricy but still serve quality food. From the gate, you have to cross the stree to the left and make another right, you will find many cool restaurants.

Fabulous! Get spoiled at the Shilla!
We payed for the upgraded room on the executive level... really well worth doing! The breakfast and evening cocktail hour food was fabulous! We looked forward to ’hotel’ food every day!
Traveler's tip for business travelers
All business travelers shouldn’t even think twice about staying on the exec level. The convenience of the executive lounge cocktail hour means you can have a drink and some appetizers and skip dinner. No foraging for dinner after a long exhausting day!

Shilla Hotel -- Seoul
This is one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere in East Asia. Service is particularly good. The operator always addressed me by name. Concierge was very quick to satisfy requests. And the food was particularly good.

good for business trip
their service was so good. employees are very nice and kind. even cleaning crew was well trained and nice. however, with 2- year-old boy, there was nothing to do in the hotel. nothing was available for little one, and the size of room was too small. i think this hotel is perfect for business trip.

take a shuttle to go to downtown. it is free and very convenience.

One of the best in town, Over priced restaurants
Excellent amenities and services. Few hotel clerks speak English that created confusion in communication. The French restaurant is really over priced for the quality of the food. Buffet for both breakfast and lunch was superb.

Great hotel with a great staff in Seoul
Conveniently located close to a subway station, the Shilla Seoul was a comfortable hotel for the whole family. The kids were disappointed that the indoor pool was only for adults but the friendly staff made up for it! We enjoyed the gardens and statues around the hotel too!
