One of the best hotels
We stayed at this hotel for four nights while visiting Amish country, Lancaster and Gettysburg. Lancaster Arts is wonderful. The setting is urban and upscale artsy, esposed brick, unusual track lighting in rooms, etc. The rooms are beautifully decorated with all the amenities. Everything seems brand new and was spotlessly clean. Staff were attentive and accommadating. The restaurant was excellent, worthy of a second evening. Our only recommendation was to provide a vase for the rose that was left on our pillows each night. I wish I lived closer so that I could return. Definitely worth the trip.

Impressed
CONS: Elevator is slow, shower could have had more water pressure, no safe for valuables, and the TV in the room could have been a bit larger. PROS: Clean, nice staff, spacious room, comfy bed, free wifi, and free continental breakfast. Unique feel, artsy decor with paintings and quilts hanging on the walls for sale. Location is pretty central and was great for our itinerary(Amish exp, Hershey, Herrs, Crystal Caves, Hot air balloon, Cabelas, Green Dragon Market for some ideas ;)
The Amish folk do not like their picture being taken so ask before you take a picture. The young children do not learn English until they start school so they may not be able to understand you.
