Hotel Park
We stayed at Hotel Park in early October so the hotel was pretty much a ghost town. Everything really starts to shut down in September. For us it didnt bother us and we actually preferred the quiet hotel. The view from Hotel Park looking back at the little town of Rovinj is absolutely fabulous. We walked into town each night (about a 15-20 walk) and enjoyed some fabulous seafood. Day 2 we did a 40 minute bus to Pula to from Rovinj to visit the ruins and the coliseum which was a fun day trip. Day 3 we rented a car and drove down to Favala and took the ferry to Briunji(sp?)Islands north of Pula which was great. Day 4 we drove around to several hilltop towns in Istria and stopped at several little wineries along the way. Amazing landscape. Motovan is incredible but I hear it can be a mad house peak season.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
While in Rovinj you have to eat at Puntalina. Amazing food and spectacular location right on the seaside.
