Nice Cheap and Good Location
It is not such a big fancy hotel, but it is quite fine and located in a good place downtown near a lot of attractions, another benefit was that on the rate hotel was already included the breakfast buffet, which is more than a continental breakfast, To be honest this is not a new hotel but it has being kept in good shape. I will be please to stay again here during my future visit.
Traveler's tip on dining
Go to la Parroquia Coffee, and order a Lechero Coffee, and a Club Torta Parroquia, and also taste an Strawberry Champola, which is almost the same as a milkshake but with a Parroquia`s especial touch.

Nice Historic Hotel
Nice hotel. No complaints except the bathroom was a little on the small side. The room was huge and opened to the courtyard. There is a nice(small) pool and seating area by the pool. Staff are nice and helpful.

Historic hotel, interesting but lacks amenities, comfort
Good location near Zocalo in Centro Historico en Veracruz. Very good comp breakfast included each day. Hotel used to be a monastery and has unique old charm to it, but lacks windows and modern comforts of say most Holiday Inns in the states. Rooms have high ceilings and are good for say meditation, but there are no views. Rooms are also a bit musty, as no air flow. But a funky, unique and somewhat historic place to stay in good location for couple nights in Veracruz.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
make sure to check out San Juan Ulua, and drive down to Boca Del Rio. Walk around as much as you can in Veracruz - waterfront, zocalo, etc. - soak up the culture and food in this unique destination - eat at least one gordita and try the seafood too.
