Nicest, most professional hotel staff EVER!!!
This is a wonderful boutique hotel. Small, nut with everything. (Well, almost everything: ice is delivered to the room, and a small amount, though i never asked for a larger amount.)The staff is small, but GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first time i ever left a hotel with a feeling other than "It’s time to go." I will return soon!

Schilo’s is a great German restaurant, and very inexpensive, right around the corner. Imported Spaten, one of Germany’s leading beer’s on draft.

Charming, but not enchanting
The Fairmount is a beautiful old hotel that deserves a few improvements and a few more customers! It has all the charm of an old, renovated hotel, plus most of the amenities one would expect. An exception is the lighting in the room. Reading lights by the bed are an absolute necessity but the Fairmount’s were totally inadequate and really cast a figurative and literal shadow over an otherwise very nice little hotel. Luke the dog is getting old but his presence in the lobby is a nice touch. Staff were friendly. Hotel was very clean. It was quiet. Location is great.
