The hotel was very nice, clean and right down town. 2 Blocks from the mile. Staff was very friendly and I already booked again in Feb. Eat at Pizzira Uno and Heaven on the 7th..both very short walks from the Hotel

Nice room at a great price
We stayed two nights at the Wyndham. Everything was neat and clean and the service was great. The concierge was very knowledgeable - we asked about the theaters and she knew all about them and how to snag good tickets. The bar and restaurant looked nice, though we didn’t use them. Only real defect we noticed was the pool area was a little shabby - some tiles had fallen off the wall and were not replaced. The pool was small, but it appears that many downtown hotels don’t have pools at all. The hot tub didn’t always work. We called to the front desk and they were quick to provide maintenance help. The jets were repaired in about 15 minutes one day, but the next the heat had gone out in the hot tub and that wasn’t repaired while we were there. Overall a very nice stay.

One of Chicago’s Best
Chicago is a beautiful city and the Wyndham Chicago really highlights the best points of the Windy City. The staff is excellent. My group and I walked in to check-in, were greeted with a smile and a complimentary room upgrade. We walked to the room, opened the door, and found everything to be perfect. It was outstanding. I just wanted to stay in that room forever. The concierge was considerate, helpful and friendly. Overall, my experience is one I will never forget. One thing I noted were the unusually high prices at the hotel bar... Not to fret though because the ambiance and atmosphere was well worth the prices. Also, valet services were excellent and on time. Everybody seemed very competent and ready to serve with excellence.

good stay
Enjoyed our stay. Excellent room great location. Surprised that they were the first hotel on our 30 day trip that charged for wi fi. Guess they need to make money anyway they can.

Excellent!
We had a great time and were able to walk to many places from this hotel. The concierge ladies was awesome~ they booked us tickets to a comedy club and arranged for visits to the "Renee Spa," which is about one block away and very enjoyable. There is also a cute "Corner Bakery" right across the street that was very convenient for breakfast or a quick snack. The pool and hot tub were a nice way to end the day. We had a great experience!

Perfect Location
The Wyndham’s location on the Mag Mile is perfect. One block off of Michigan Ave and spaced about half-way along the shopping strip. Also, the restaurant is excellent, especially the $10 lunch deals.

bang for your buck all the way around

Room was wondeful--comfortable and elegant. Only problem was that the closet door handle was loose, and the door was significantly warped.

Handy to sites.
Would definitely stay there again. Never took a cab anywhere while there. On Sunday our beds were made up and clean linens were in our bathroom but that was it. Waste basket in room was not emptied, room service dishes were still there, water was in the ice bucket from the night before. We enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel. A very nice young man waited on me on Friday night before my guests arrived. (He was from Battle Creek, MI) and a new college graduate.

Very nice place
I only stayed for one night, however, everything was very nice and what I expected. The price was very reasonable and the service was good. Would definetly go back and return to this hotel.

We had a wonderful holiday get-away
We really enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham. The staff, including concierge, were extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was great, and the hotel’s location was outstanding. We’ll be back.

It was alright
The hotel was great when we first arrived. The room was ready and it was clean, but it seemed to take them awhile for us to get room service and have our room clean. We came back to the room around 6 and they still didn’t come to clean our room yet. But other than that, I thought it was a nice room and very cozy.

Good stay in Chicago
Very comfortable hotel and great location just off of Michigan Avenue. We had a little extra space in our room with 2 queen beds and a larger sitting area than the other rooms. Drinks in the bar were a little expensive but the coffee shop around the corner was the best every morning.

Great hotel for the price
Great hotel and great price. Extremely clean. Would definetly stay here again. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were quiet. Only complaint is bar drinks were extremely overpriced. Would not go to the bar there again.

The clerk asked us if we wanted to upgrade to a suite for a small price, which we did. We went for New Years weekend and attended the New Years Eve party in the hotel. The whole night/weekend was fabulous. perfect location for shopping the Magnificant Mile. one block walk away from the middle of all shops. Definitely plan on staying there from now on. Beautiful hotel

Loved it all. If I had one negative I would say the pool area was a little smaller then I thought it would be. But I definitley would love to stay there again

Very Friendly Staff
What a great location so close to all the Michigan Mile shopping and also walking distance to the Movie Theater and many restaurants. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. My only complaint is that our room felt more like a 3.5 star rather than a 4 star. Room is small and the only thing that was a bit upper end was the bed linens.

Very Comfortable Beds
The room decor was a bit traditional however kept in very good condition not to mention that the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very luxurious with ample space for more than 2 people to walk in versus the smaller bathrooms found in high end hotels. The area was quite safe right across from a hospital.

Everything seems to be broken--35 cents a minute to use internet
I was shocked that the charge to use the business center computers was 35 cents a minute, most nicer hotels it’s free for guests. It cost me $6 to just check my emails. BUT you couldn’t print because the printer was broken. The jets in the whirlpool also broken. The steamroom stunk and was unclean. The music everywhere was eardrum shattering.

Can’t wait to go back
We were taking our girls out on the town and this couldn’t have been a better located hotel for us. Close to Watertower, not far from our restaurant either. We had adjoining rooms, and we had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Nice Stay
Wonderful stay at the Wyndham. The concierge service was the best part of the stay! We ate breakfast at the corner bakery. Some nights you could hear sirens from the local hospital - but it wasn’t problematic enough to keep you from having a good night’s sleep. The beds are comfy. The pool and hot tub were a bit smaller then they appeared in the picture - but they were adequate. I would stay here again.

Would Stay here again
The staff was friendly and courteous. They offered suggestions on where to eat and asked if we needed help finding anything. When they brought our bags up they asked if we need more towels or anything else. The room was clean and not cramped at all. It would be nice if the WIFI was free but that’s hit or miss at hotels these days. I took advantage of the valet parking and breakfast for two option through expedia and it’s well worth it. Parking at the hotel is $49/night and breakfast buffet is $19/ per person. Parking in Chicago is limited and expensive. We walked or took the bus. I have two kids and they enjoyed the pool. It was average size for a hotel. Just enought to play around in after a day of running around. The steam room and sauna were a nice addition that not all hotels have. Overall a great experience and I’d stay again.

The hotel was fine - I’ve stayed at both better and worse in Chicago. For the price hard to beat!
