Not up to Hilton Standards

Booking a Hilton hotel in the Boston Financial District I had high expectations. My family was staying at a hotel right around the corner, however I booked late, so I went with Hilton. I was quite disappointed. While the hotel had 6 elevators only 1 of them was working the entire weekend. It was close to impossible to get the elevator, which lead to taking the stairs to and from my 8th floor room. While the room was nice, there were "little things" that went wrong; alarm clock didn’t work, door handle missing from closet doors, TV remote didn’t work. While the big picture of the hotel painted the picture of "Hilton" the small things that were bad made it a bad stay overall.

Close to everything

Within in walking distance for too many things to list. Quite on weeknights and quite weekends. I was looking for a central location to explore the city by foot and I found it. I was able to recharge at the hotel from time to time due to its proximity.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Professional sports venues are close or are easily accessible by public transportation but there are no lively bars close to the hotel. If you are doing a sports trip, I would not recommend this hotel; however I think some might find this a reason to stay here.

A Little Small But Great Location and Staff

The pictures do not depict the room. The room was small but the bathroom was huge. The closet door was a pain and the A/C cold have been better. Although there were some flaws the location was great the staff was great and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again because of the location to the north side where the food is amazing and the waterfront subway shopping. Since this was our first trip we did not take the subway to the hotel. This was a mistake. Use the subway! I could not have asked for a better trip.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The Boston Gliders Seagway tour is a must. It was the most fun we had seeing the city. My wife and I did the 2hr tour but I would highly suggest the 3Hr tour if you have the time and the money. If was fast and fun way to see the city. I wish we would have done this tour the first day because it gives you a great feel of the size of the city and where everything is located.
