Good little hotel

Staff was very helpful,& nice. Rooms were big & comfy & clean. Short walk to busline on the strip. 3 day bus pass $15, or daily $7, great little bus. This was a good place to stay. Clean , safe , comfy, etc. Check out the magic/comedy show @ Flamigo: good & only $20 for show & buffet. Sahara $1 blackjack was fun.

Cheap hotel, great for sleeping

Actually, We were late to book the other hotels with higher stars.. To be logical, We had to choose a central but cheap hotel.. The hotel is pretty central... After the tiring night in Vegas, we were more than happy to sleep in our comfortable bed, air conditioning was very good. No problems we had... We would recommend it to anyone with low budget...

Very clean and comfy hotel for the money

We were nicely surprised by the nice accomodation the hotel could give us. Although the hotel looks rather doubtful from outside, our room with two queen beds was in perfect condition: very clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was rather okin American terms: we could choose between corn flakes and a sort of donuts and got good coffee.

Good Nights rest

This hotel was able to accommodate our large group at a relatively low cost. The rooms were large and spacious, the front desk helpful, and the continental breakfast above average. For a decent hotel just off the strip this is a good hotel. The only I difficulty encountered was getting there from the airport.

Convenient to Convention Center and Good Price

Decent hotel, internet in lobby, walk to Convention Center, breakfast (cereal and pastry) included. Friendly staff. I would go back next time I attend a trade show at CC.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Walk to Convention Center, Circus Circus, Wynn, Fashion Show Mall.

Simple, Clean, Cheap, I’ll be back

Ok, this hotel is inexpensive but for the price a great value. I didn’t come to vegas to hang out in the hotel but for sleeping and enjoying the pool (small but clean as a whistle) and maybe watching a couple movies and eating a couple pizzas. I’d stay here again. Last side note, the front desk staff cranked out my pre-boarding pass for southwest lighting fast, free and with a smile. Even though I wasn’t ready to leave Vegas, guess you gotta go home sometime.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Great place to stay if your just looking for a place to lay your head down.

Great customer service

If you are looking for a place off the strip that is inexpensive this is the place for you. Not a flashy, glitzy place, but what you get is great personal service. The people behind the counter were very helpful. When you are in Vegas, all you really need is a place to catch a couple of zzzzz’s.

Servicable - but a little worn around the edges

This is the place that you might have imagined that "Leaving Los Vegas" was filmed at. A worn and tired building. On the positive side of the review - it was clean and the beds was comfortable and located between the strip and the convention center makes it a good location and value for that purpose.

Deceiving on the outside - but a nice room for the value

Looks can be deceiving. Pulling up into the hotel after passing all the glitzy places can be a little unnerving. It definitely lacks "curb appeal." However, the check in clerk was extremely friendly and the process was excellent. But walking to the room, you’ll be thrown back to the "what have we done" feeling as pass the pool. If you booked this hotel because it had a pool--you’ll be disappointed. Its clean, but there is not a single place to sit around the pool -- it is completely surrounded by an iron gate. Access to the rooms is secure with iron gates that look prison like. But all returns to normal when you open the door to the room. The room is large. Its clean and comfortable. The hotel was just a block and 1/2 from a busstop for the Duece -- which takes you up and down the strip for $2.25 a ride. That scores the hotel pretty high on the convenience factor. I also walked to the Convention center for my meetings and that took less than 15 minutes. The free breakfast is nothing more than processed packaged sweets and cereals. Skip it and go to the Riveria (just a block away). You’ll do much better elsewhere if you want luxury, name and style. But you won’t do much better on value. So balance it all out.

Traveler's tip on dining

Go across the Street to Damiens -- a little cafe in the Royal Resort. Prices were all below $10 and the food was great. An excellent value. Great service too.

Good value

A few minutes walk from the big expensive hotels and casinos, but a fraction of the price. Room was clean- it would be better if a fridge was in the room. Free WiFi, although we had to call the desk to find out which of the several available networks to use. Stairs could be improved- we both tripped on them. In another review we had read, the writer questioned the security, but we felt safe. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and do not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Big, Clean Room in Secure Building close to Strip

Priced just right and well worth the money. This is a good pick for a late night arrival or for someone on a budget. Seemed good for families and couples alike. If you are looking for a resort feel, however, keep looking.

I recommend it!

This is just a motel. Off the strip, no lights, no flash. Simple and all you need. And quiet! There’s even a pool. My 2 points of complaint are the pillows were not very comfortable and that, as a personal fitness trainer, I found the breakfast lacking. The continental breakfast consisted of sweet rolls, mostly sugar-sweetened cereals, apple and orange juice, whole milk, coffee and tea. I did my best with Rice Crispies and Frosted Mini-wheats and coffee. For the price and the convenience to the LV Convention Center, I’ll be back!

Good Price Bad Service

The price for the hotel was very reasonable and I didn’t expect too much for the price. We were very impressed with the refurbished room (although it took two tries to get a "non-smoking" room that didn’t smell smokey). It is convenient to the convention center - actually a short walk down the street which is not busy. The outside of the motel looks a bit like a war zone but we felt safe in the motel. The service problem occurred when we arrived at our next destination (about a 2 hour drive) and realized that my wife had left her feather pillow at the motel. I had a relative still at the convention center and driving down to meet us, so we called the hotel and asked if she could pick up the pillow. The only answer that we could get was that housekeeping had left for the day and no one there had or was able to get a key and that we could not get it and we were out of luck.

Decent and worth the money

This is a small motel of 80 units. The room pictures on the websites look just like the rooms themselves, nothing is added and nothing is taken away. the rooms are large, and some have minifridges. The staff is friendly. The internet only works in the lobby. AC works fine, and price is so great for the stay. Please take the money you save and have a nice dinner. There is cable TV, and housekeeping comes everyday.

Traveler's tip on dining

This hotel is just a short walk from the strip where you cxan take the Duece (city bus) downtown to freemont street. Although there are plenty of places to eat surrounding the motel, Downtown has the best buffets for the money in comparison to the strip, I am talking about a $15-20 dollar difference.

It was Okay

The location of the hotel was pretty good, only about a half a block from the strip. The exterior seemed a little sketchy as far as safety but they assured me that it was safe and secure and that the police station was across the street. The interior of the room was nice and roomy but I was very dissapointed that the pool was being repaired so it was closed for the weekend. For that reason alone we changed hotels the second night that we were their. All in all as long as you can be sure that the pool is functional, I would recommend the room for a budgeted stay.

A little nervous ...

I have stayed here about 3 years ago during their remodel, so I figured I would stay again.. The room was nice and clean, but the pool had been closed by the health department. I couldn’t get any info about why, just it was "unexpectedly closed for 5 days". I just hope it was nothing serious.... I would probably stay there again..

This hotel was even better than the other reviews said!

This was truly a very good hotel, especially for the very reasonable price! The staff was very courteous, and everything was as mentioned in the promotional materials. They even had free coffee, free continental breakfast, and free in-room wireless internet access, and I did not expect any of these. I will definitely stay here on future trips to Vegas.

Too much noise

Although the rooms were large, clean and quiet the outdoor amenities were horrible. There is an indoor skydiving business about 100 ft. away and the fan is on constantly. If you sit at the pool it is very noisy. The location to the strip is good but the part of town is not due to the types of businesses that surround the motel.

Very Satified Customer

This motel is a "No Frills" motel located a short distance away from the strip. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was quite pleasant. There is a Walgreens nearby as well as the Peppermill Restaurant. The rates were definitely more reasonable than hotels located on the strip. I’d book another room for my next Vegas trip.
