A Comfortable room for the cost
The location is perfect to walk to Old Town and the Art Museum. The Botanical Garden, Aquarium and Zoo are only 2 blocks away. It was quiet, clean and spacious for the modest cost. This is not a luxurious place, but perfectly fine. Breakfast is cereal, toast, waffles, yoghurt.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Drive 10 min out of town to Petroglyph National Monument. The terraine is facinating as well as the petroglyphs. Stop at the Visitors Center first for maps of the best places to go.

you get what you pay for
The good: cheap; reasonably clean; close to Old Town; walkable (25-30 min) to downtown; bus service to downtown; decent complimentary breakfast; nice and responsive management The bad: very much a "budget" feel to it all; the connecting door between two adjacent rooms did not lock and was just blocked by a table; the linen in one bed had not been changed since the previous guest, so I had to request for a new set; the AC was a bit louder and less efficient than one would like, but still did the job. Overall, for about 2.5 times less than the big hotels downtown, it was acceptable. Would i go there again to save money, yes. Would I take my wife there for a personal get-away, no.

not so good.
First of all the room had a table with two chairs that you couldnt even squeeze into. One of the bulbs in the restroom was fused out. The main reason I picked this hotel was because of the indoor pool. Sadly, I didnt even get to experience it due to the cloudy water. It looked as if it hadnt gotten filter in a very long time.
