close to Galleria, looks like new, very pleased

the room appears to be recently renovated and is of good quality, though it did have a kitchen it didn’t have the utensils and cups you would find in other places with a kitchen, still better than nothing

Cheap in more ways than one

I got to the hotel at 9:30p, room was hot, and the wireless signal was too weak to allow online access. So I wsa hungry and called the Dominos phone # on the hotel key (local) for some delivery. Little did I know I was calling India! They needed to know my exact address etc. and she was very hard to understand. The front desk offered to help and call for me, but after 40 minutes of no news I called down only to find out there is no Delivery after 9pm! Are you kidding? Are we in Houston? Oh and the toilet didn’t work properly. Avoid this place.

Cheap Price for Galleria Area

This is one of the cheapest hotels in the Galleria area. The staff is nice and always greets you when you come in. However, the rooms are nothing special. It will work if you are in Houston on business and don’t spend much time in the room.

The Galleria is right around the corner. There are so many restaurants and shops nearby that it is worth staying here

This hotel front desk is closed after 11:00pm so if there is any chance you might arrive late this is NOT the hotel for you. We actually got there around 10:00 and had called to say we were running late but there was still no one there to check us in. And the house phone would not work. When we finally got checked in @ 11:15 we realized that a hotel employee had been sitting in the common TV area the whole time we were trying to find someone to help us.

The location of this hotel was great - next to the galleria mall and 10 minutes from the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo. First night they gave us a dirty room so we went back down 3 floors with all luggage to get another room. second night we got in late and both of our keys were not working. back downstairs we go. We bought internet acess but it never worked. There was some half eaten shrimp that layed in the hallway for the four days that we were there. Vacuum? The hotel was under some kind of construction with pieces of drywall laying everywhere. I think the problem with this hotel is there was no manager to be found the whole time and there were people complaining everytime we walked in. I felt sorry for the staff.

wait until the construction is over and the management has changed and it is a nice hotel with a good safe location

Good basic accommodations

Hotel had clean, comfortable and quiet rooms, despite location right next to Loop highway. I had to hunt to find complimentary coffee, though (it had been moved to commons room.) I didn’t know about commons room because one check-in clerk was training another, and both seemed to be too busy to even greet me with "good evening." Location was good for access downtown and anywhere on west side of Houston.

The Galleria Mall is right around the corner, and gorgeous. Interesting places nearby (within a mile or two: River Oaks neighborhood and Rice University. Just a little further: Nature Discovery Center in Bellaire.
