best location in Porto!
The best part of this hotel was the location of the Porto - right near the Ribeira. Completely worth it for the location alone. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Hotel staff was helpful and accommodating.

Good location
The hotel is located in one of the best locations in Porto. The outside is beautiful and the view from my window was also great. Unfortunately, I was inside the room. The air conditioning didn’t work, but the desk clerk came and put a battery in the remote and then it did. The toilet ran sometimes for hours. The bathroom was so small that it was almost like the bathroom on a train. The bed and furniture were not at all comfortable. All hotels in Portugal offer free breakfast and theirs was the worst of any of the breakfasts I had: horrible bread with little variety and not even fresh fruits. However, with all that said, who stays in their room on vacation? I think location is most important, but for the money, it was not a good hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to go to the Stock Exchange and the Cathedral, which are on the same street as the hotel. Don’t take the river boat tours; they are a rip off, and don’t take the "50" minutes promised and though they say you see 6 bridges, they counted the same bridges twice (4 bridge tour is truthful).

Good Find!
Great location and very helpful staff. The rooms are clean, and quite confortable. All in all, a good deal. Location is the best part of this hotel, its right near all the historic sites and within walking distance of the train station and many various tourist activities.
