A Diamond in Central Madrid
Very pleased with both the location of the hotel and the quality of helpful character of the staff. Breakfast was more than sufficient. Centrally located. Close to Metro and sites. Would recommend and return.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Venture out of Madrid using the local rail system. Walk or Metro to train station. Staff at the station very helpful. Trains are clean and on time.

Two Thumbs Up
My sister and I really enjoyed our visit to Room Mate Laura. The decor is fun and modern; we felt like we were traveling in style in our duplex room. Even the breakfast room felt swanky! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I spoke to them in Spanish so I could get some practice (and they were very patient with me!), but I also noticed that they handled themselves quite well in both English and French with other guests. I would definitely stay there again.
Traveler's tip
The Metro is convenient, clean, and affordable. We wanted to walk around the city to get to know it a bit better and enjoy the weather, but it’s easy to make a wrong turn when walking through a plaza. So, if you need to get somewhere at a specific time (like the train station!), I recommend the Metro. The Callao station is just a couple of blocks away from Room Mate Laura, and all of the stations are clearly labeled with instructions to transfer lines if necessary.

Modern, moderate and fun!
This hotel is located in central Madrid. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is generous and varied. Highly recommend and will stay there when returning to wonderful Madrid!
