Great value, great service
The hotel is contrally-located within walking distance from Guangjingjie, the central shopping street, and very clean. The concierge went out of his way to help me with directions, shopping recommendations and even arranged a hotel car to take me to Pudong Airport at a big discount. Truly service-oriented hotel.

A definite recommend.
This hotel was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with both Asian and western selections. The hotel staff at the restaurant, front desk and concierge/bell desk were all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. The location was central and convenient.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
A visit to the water village of Tong Li, about 30 minutes from Suzhou was a highlight of our visit. We took a taxi there, and explored the canals, old homes and shops, and the Chinese Sex History Museum(an unlikely location for such a place, but definitely worthwhile) - all very interesting and enjoyable. We were told we needed a driver to take us and wait, but easily found a cab outside the village to take us back to Suzhou.

A Good Pick for Suzhou
The hotel was beautiful and in a wonderful location. While the hotel was not perfect, it was excellent for China and very good for most other places. The bed was actually soft, which is hard to find in Asia. I would definitely go back there.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If you are only in Suzhou for a day or two, the three best gardens are the Humble Administrators, The Lion’s Grove, and Tiger Hill.
