It’s close to evrything that we need... restaurant, gas station, shopping, freeways, even groceries....you name it...even the airport is just few miles away...and the room is super clean... and MR. JOHN of the Philippines.....i love this guy !!! he’s beyond helpful and give us the best customer service...ever !!! two thumbs up for you....it’s just sad to know that you will be assign back in the Philippines soon... oh,well...good luck. Again, 5 stars for this Hotel and the staff.

The Fairfield Inn we stayed at in Rapid City was exceptional. The people at the service desk were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Facilities Good, housekeeping lacking!

During our 3-day stay we found houskeeping service oversights each day. One day the bathroom had been completely overlooked. The sink leaked and the hair dryer had to be replaced. The hotel is only 2 years old and should be in good shape yet. The breakfast bar was good each day.

Great waterpark adjoining facility and hotel is located at the entrance to one of the premier vacation spots in the central part of the country.

Tips

This hotel is a ways from downtown and is full of kids due to the water park. I would say the water park is available to the public judging from the kids and traffic. The hotel was fine and it was quiet in our room. Top notch if you have kids that need entertained.

cold weather

We got snowed in and the roads closed while staying here. The wind was blowing 50-60 miles per hour and straight against our wall unit heater and it couldnt keep up. Nothing they could help as it was about -45 wind chill. They promptly moved us to a room across the hall. Overall the place is clean and nice and they have a decent continental breakfast. The Watiki indoor waterpark attached is great also....a nice place to stay...a little expensive in the summer months, like all Rapid City hotels, but very reasonable in the winter months. Would recommend staying here. We have stayed here several times.

Great value for the money

I wish the romms were a bit more spacious. Other than great place to stay and my kids really loved the water park.

Great hotel

We were very satisified. Conveniently located. Very helpful staff when asked for directions to see area sites. Extremely comfortable bed. Wonderful continental breakfast. The staff who are responsible for the breakfast do an outstanding job. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent for the price

Very satisfied with the hotel. The coninential breakfast was included and very satisifying. Located right next to the main highway in the area. The water park was very nice, but not having kids I only glanced in. I would definately go to this hotel again.

The staff was courteous and very helpful. The waterpark was terrific. The room was small but clean.

Park in the back of the hotel and enter into the breakfast room. Hardly anyone parks back there.

Nice and Quiet

Very nice place to stay. Shuttle service to the airport was very good and on time. Everything was in mint condition from the lobby to the room. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and really efficient.

Summer 2008 vacation

This hotel took a little bit to find but was well worth it. It was so nice that we were able to check in a bit early since we were there and use the waterpark when it wasn’t quite so busy. Our children ages 10 and 12 enjoyed it very much as well as my husband and I. Our room was quiet and we got some much needed rest from all of our driving.

It was nice to be able to get a coffee or lunch rite there in the water park area. A person really doesn’t need to leave the area to complete your stay.

The staff at the hotel were accomodating and supplied any request that we had. The location is close to all attractions and the rooms were fine. A great stay!

Wet & Wild- But Fun

A fun place for the kids to get wet and have fun! It’s a very busy and popular attraction with families. My only complaint is the walls and ceiling are thin and noise carries. My advice is to request a room on the top floor. Otherwise it’s a fun place to stay.

Water Park was fun but water is cold

We stayed with our 2yr old hoping for an evening of water park fun. Well, the park is small...sure it has a lazy river, basketball, hot tub and kids land, but for the amount of people they claim to be able to accommodate it is too small. The water temperature was a disappointment. The hot tub was fine, but he kids area was cold! So much so that even our child said he did not want to ride the slides anymore. So we sat in the lazy river which was somewhat better, the basketball shoot around area was o.k., but for an indoor water park it was cold! We got a good deal on water park passes with our Expedia reservation which was good. The room was comfortable, nothing extravagant, no refrigerator, but still nice. Staff was friendly.

Great location

The hotel is located at a great intersection of highways. Easy access to Ellsworth AFB (10 min), Mt Rushmore (30 min), and the airport (15 min). A new mall is being built and is also very close. I did not take advantage of the water park associated with the hotel, but it looked like the families were having a great time.

Great place for families to stay

The indoor waterpark was well worth the small extra price. We stayed two nights to enjoy the sights and give the kids a chance to play too! We really enjoyed our visit. Lifeguards were nice too.

Great Water Park & Hotel at the foot of the black hills!

Great Place to stay at the foot of the Black Hills after the long drive across the state from the east. Great water park and snack bar. Great Location. The Kids Loved it!

Great for family - not so great for business

I traveled for business on a Friday night and there were a lot of families because of the water park. They were all having a blast and the water park looked awesome. But trying to work in my room or the lobby was not easy as there were a lot of kids running through the halls, laughing and screaming.

The shuttle to and from the airport doesn’t run late at night.
