Stay somewhere else

This is a great hotel but right now I would avoid it. They are working on Highway 421 immediately in front of the hotel and it looks like a war zone. This is not the best location in Boone anyway. Too close to the college and not really an attractive part of town.

Dirty hotel

Even a moderately priced hotel should be clean. My socks turned black from walking on the carpet. There were stains on the carpet in the elevator. Leaves blowing around in the lobby entrance. The free breakfast was not appealing. Better to charge for breakfast and serve good food. One stay was enough. The young lady at the front desk had a very helpful attitude.

Mid October if you want to see spectacular scenery. Mid summer to get away from the heat as temperatures and humidity here are usually much lower than Florida. Mid winter for skiing. Great vacation spot!

Good Value

The hotel was a good value. The only recommendations I would suggest is that they put refrigerators in the rooms, add pull bars to the bathtub walls, and get a little more parking. A plus is that they have a hot tub along with the pool. The room was quiet and comfortable.

the hotel is located close to downtown and ASU college. everything was very nice about the room but the bed was a bit hard for my liking. all in all our stay was great.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

don’t be intimidated by the 2 lane mountain roads. the twist and turn every which way but get out and see the back country and mountain tops. Banner Elk Winery is a nice day trip.

The location is easy to find. Hotel is close to some shopping and eating places. Hotel staff are very helpful and will do what ever they can to make your stay enjoyable I highly reccommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Boone area.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Ten miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock Park, a little farther to Grandfather Mountain. There are many other areas for skiing,tubing,rafting ect... Boone is a very enjoyable area.

Great Value for the money.

The hotel was very convenient to all local destinations and easy to get to. It was new and clean and while the room was on the small side it was cozy and fresh.

Traveler's tip

Don’t bother with a "view" room. There is a main road and a shopping center between the hotel and the small hill that would be the view. The road is heavily travelled and a room on the back side of the hotel would be quieter.

Served Its Purpose

My wife and I drove down to pick up a new puppy near Boone and had to stay overnight somewhere. This hotel appeared to be nice, friendly check in staff, and looked pretty clean. Downside...not enough parking for the number of rooms. Parking lot is shared with a hotel next store. Non smoking room smelled very smoky, Air Conditioner was tempermental and very loud. TVs need to be updated, volume would go up and down at random. Positive...clean rooms, updated bathrooms, continental breakfast. Since we were there less than 12 hours it was perfect, but I would not recommend staying there for an extended trip.

Nice and comfortable

We enjoyed our visit to Boone and the Country Inn and Suites. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. We were riding motorcycles and they offered to allow us to park them under their shelter so they would be safe and dry during our stay. The hotel was clean and the view from the porch was awesome. A treat to eat breakfast each morning on the porch and enjoying a beautiful view.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Wonderful Back Porch & Rocking Chairs

Admitedly, this hotel is very basic. Simple & comfortable. But, location, mountain views & back deck make for a splendily relaxing evening, after a day of roaming the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed many morning coffees & evening snacks (popcorn from hotel & local ice cream - see Travelers Tips) in the comfort of the rocking chairs on this back porch. The staff could not have been more professional, courtious or helpfull. Mostly College Students who have clearly already learned & mastered their Customer Service Skills! Fine Job...Thanks!

Cold Slab Creamery in Harris Teater Shopping Paza HWY 321...Mmm Good! Take back to hotel and sit on back deck to enjoy the sunset! Also Check out Melanies Cafe on King St/HWY 421 in Downtown Boone. Great Breakfast with lots of Fresh Herbs, Fruit & Garlic...Yum!

Heating/Air Conditioning not the best for a new hotel

Although this is a brand new hotel, our room was either very hot or else we were freezing. We really had problems regulating the temperature. Each room has its own unit. When the air was blowing, we were freezing; when the air was off, my husband and I were hot. Their breakfast, however, is very good.

Make sure you travel on up to Blowing Rock and shop on Main Street; however, watch where you park; parking on the back streets (even on the side of the road) will cause you to get a $25 ticket courtesy of your friendly Boone Police Dept.

Cozy and Comfortable

We were visiting App State and wanted a hotel close by. The hotel was cozy (large stone fireplace in a very welcoming lobby) and the room was very adequate and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of variety and warm cookies were available in the afternoon. We enjoyed it.

Traveler's tip on shopping

We enjoyed a brief jaunt up to a nice outlet mall in Blowing Rock. Got some great deals at J. Crew.

Great Stay in Boone

This hotel is just the right thing for a weekend getaway to see the Mountaineers play football. The room was great, the lobby is warm and inviting and the breakfast is NOT the usual "Continental" fare. We will use this hotel the next time we are in Boone.
