Not what I paid for
When I checked in, I was told they didn’t have the room I had prepaid on expedia, which was kingsize no smoking, but if I paid Y2,000 per night more I could get a king size smoking room. The explanation given by the manager was that "we never see kingsize non-smokers". Eventually I was allowed to pay Y2,000 more for a kingsize, non-smoking room, which is what I thought I had paid for already.

Wonderful Hotel
The room was lovely. It had an up-to-date design in hues of robin’s egg and chocolate. The bathroom had a black granite sink, deep tub and a large shower. The International Herald was on my door every morning by 7 am. The service was excellent. The hotel was everything that I expect from InterContinental.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Don’t waste your time (and yen) dining and drinking cocktails in the hotel. The eateries and lounges were overpriced. Venture out, there are so many great restaurants in the Tokyo bay area.

Great service, comp shuttle to station
The service, amenities, and cleanliness was excellent. The comp shuttle was appreciated.
Traveler's tip
The comp shuttle was very much appreciated, but it’s much more convenient to stay near a major train station. The food was very expensive. The airport bus limo drops off and picks up passengers which is convenient.
