Top of their game
Hotel Villa Emilia is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in some 8 or 9 trips to Europe. It is quite well appointed and very modern in its amenities. All in all, I wouls highly recommend this hotel if Barcelona is in your palns.
Try the restaurant Monvinic on Carrer Diputacio for an interesting wine experience.

Great stay in Barcelona!
The Villa Emilia was fantastic! My wife and I had never been to Barcelona before, so we really didn’t know where to stay. We chose the Villa Emilia based on the reviews of others, and it couldn’t have been better. The hotel is very modern with a hip, trendy feel. The rooms are a little small, but they are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are well appointed and have awesome walk-in showers. For relaxing, the hotel has a great bar on the first floor, as well as a beautiful terrace on the roof...great place for relaxing with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is actually located in a more residential/business area, which was great. It was a beuatiful urban neighborhood with wonderful shops and restaurants. The Barcelona subway system is excellent, and there is a stop 100 yards from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
Go in October! There is a slighly elevated chance of rain, but the temperature is perfect and the crowds are smaller. The temperature still hovers in the mid-60s-low-70s, and the but the leaves on some of the trees are starting to change. Also, hotel rates seem to be a bit lower than during the peak summer months.
