SriLanka revisited
Nice friendly hotel and conveniently situated. Two hours from the airport by local taxi and an hour from Galle (worth a visit) Like most beach hotels in SriLanka it is a bit isolted but transport is available to get around. Beach is fine but watch the undertow with kids swimming. Allow plenty of time to check out as they are a bit on the "family business" way of doing things. Recommended none the less as the friendlines makes up for any shortcomings. Good restaurants but get out and sample the ones in the area too.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Use the local taxis and TukTuks to get about and see the area keeping in mind that they will want to take you to places where they get commission. It’s just a case of being firm and remembering who is paying and who is in charge.
