Piraeus - No Dream
Ugly neighborhood, very few restaurants, ugly black and white carpeting, and shower feels like youre in a refrigerator box.

Hotel was excellent, as reviews say
Although the port area struck us as "grubby," the hotel itself was clean and the staff were both courteous and helpful (manager Ellie does a great job). The room had a tiny shower, but otherwise was quite comfortable. The breakfast was quite extensive, with eggs, toast, etc. If we were in Athens again, we would not hesitate to stay at the Piraeus Dream.
The shuttle bus from the airport is fast and easy, 40-50 minutes from airport to the bus stop at the port. The hotel is 1/2 mile from this stop; taxis are available. The metro stop (which does not run on weekends) is about a mile from the hotel; a suburban rail lines stop has hourly service to the Acropolis area.
