Stately Suburban Residence

Our family of three to include an 8 year old boy enjoyed five nights in this condohotel during July 2009. The front desk whisked us through the check-in process and had our key and folio at the ready. Our studio consisted of a foyer with a built-in kitchenette, full sized bath and bedroom/living area with a loveseat and queensized murphy bed. There was a closet and shelving system for our clothing. The duvets and bed linens were snow white and most comfortable. The room had free wireless internet, satellite tv and a flat screen with integrated dvd player. We did not take the opportunity to try the lobby restaurant as the nearby cafes, Da Vinci University eateries and multitude of mall offerings were more than we could sample during our stay. We loved this hotel and look forward to our next stay.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to make your way to the neaby Arc de la Defense where there is a huge mall, train and metro station. The area’s food, shopping and entertainment are in abundance and reasonably priced when compared to those venues nearer the general tourist attractions. The neighborhood is quiet, tree lined and modern in stark contrast to the more popular areas of the city.

Definitely NOT a Four Star Hotel.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for about a week during the month of September 2008. To sum it up, this was a bigger let down than the 2008 NBA Lakers vs Celtics championships-- awful. If you’re looking for a nice hotel in the La Defense district of Paris, this is not that 4 star jewel you might be seeking! This is not a four star hotel. To make it short, this hotel does not change bed sheets at all on any day-- even with a 1 week stay. No standard accomodations are provided such as soaps refills. The room is never swept or cleaned; however, they do take out the trash. The staff was very rude and snobby when asked of traveling information or help with a specific questions about our room. Moreover, check-ins are NOT allowed before 3:00pm; it was never specified in our itinerary. Our flight landed at 8:30am and we arrived at the 10:00am. After waiting in the lobby for two hours and some complaining to the staff, they finally allowed us to check into our room. Please make your traveling decisions wisely and book differently.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Courbevoie is a very beautiful area. Quiet at night and very safe. The police station is close within walking distance of many of the big hotels in the La Defense distric. It rains a lot in the month of September and it does get cold; so, be sure to bring an umbrella and coat. Be sure to shop at the local groceries to save big money. Also, learn how to use the metro to get to places instead of taking the taxi!
