Perfect crash pad for Paris vacation
I burst out laughing when I entered the room after check-in. It was very small, there were no drawers anywhere, and the closet was triangular and so small that I could only hang three or four items. But if youre a budget traveler who doesnt mind a no-frills crash pad, this place is absolutely perfect. The hotel itself was plush and sparkling clean, the staff very friendly, the bed perfectly adequate, and the bathroom was modern and clean. Free Wi-Fi. Just be aware that the rooms are tiny. But if youre spending most of your time sightseeing or sleeping, who cares? And the best part was the neighborhood. A Metro stop was only steps away, and a McDonalds close by for budget breakfasts (yogurt, juice and cappuccino for a few euros). Supermarket just around the corner (Shopi) if you wanted low-cost snacks. And a great place called Roys Cafe across the street with free Wi-Fi so you can drag your laptop over and read e-mail while sipping coffee. Lots of other restaurants as well. Total cost to me was less than half of what I would have spent at other hotels, and this place is in a really charming part of Paris. If you want no-frills, you cant beat this place. I would definitely stay here again.
I was in Paris in late October and the colors were breathtaking. Dont miss the Jardins of Luxembourg in the autumn, its one of the most beautiful things Ive ever seen.
