Great hotel for the price
We were looking for a place to sleep and a pool for the kids when we were there. Pool was indoor and warm. Free continental breakfast in the morning was simple and convenient. Rooms had fridge and microwave. They had a couple internet connected PCs in the lobby (great for checking the weather in the morning). Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The zoo, aquarium and botanical garden are outstanding...for the price, you cant go wrong. If youre limited for time, dont take the train between the zoo and aquarium (drive you car)...by driving you dont have to come back to you origin to pick up the car. The Sandia Peak tramway was very cool...bring a coat (we went end of october and very chilly on top (~40F)... The "rattlesnake museum" was a tourist trap (if not obvious)...overpriced and somewhat lame. The zoo probably had as many reptiles. Unless your a true fan you may not want to waste time.

Excellent Value
The biscuits and gravy were good with the free breakfast and the room was really comfortable. It was a long walk to a convenience store but the hotel grounds were nice and surrounded by other newer hotels so the location was solid. The free shuttle to the airport was great, but quits running at 10pm. There are two restaurants nearby - an Applebees and a Fudruckers.
Take the tram to Sandia Peak for an awesome nature experience - nice trails at the top. We ate at the bottom of the tram ride at the grill and the food was great - try the scallops and the green chile stew.

Clean, Quiet & Comfy
The price was right. A hot tub for soaking. The wi-fi works. Additionally they have a good "expanded Continental breakast" with hard-boiled eggs and hot sausage gravy for biscuits, and the morning shuttle to the airport runs when you need it.
Forget the name but the sign says "Asian cuisine" (Its Thai eclectic and quite good) out East on Central (Old Route 66) a few miles past the University. Warning: "hot" means hot.
